In mid-2022 when I moved out and into an apartment, I bought myself a little mini PC and hooked it up to my network. Initially I installed Docker and not much else on it. As time passed, I added a two-bay NAS and began to host a couple of things (Jellyfin for my ripped DVDs, backup software) and I began learning about HomeAssistant (HA). At the time, living in an apartment didn’t allow me to set up a full-blown setup.

rambling

After a lot of false starts, I’ve finally gotten around to getting my site online. Why, in 2025 would I decide to do this? For a start, with the political climate the way it is and what’s happening with various social media, I wanted a platform I could express myself on that was under my own control. No one edits my posts but me, baby! I intend to write about some of the various projects I’m working on, I’ll also write about my Ghostbusters adventures and whatever else might come to mind.
